An open weave that lets the sun through, in seven sizes from XS to 3XL.
Verified buyers of the Tan-Through line, exactly as they wrote it on our product pages.
โI have used these the past few days and they are so cute and i havenโt had any harsh tan lines! They may look see through when they arenโt on but trust me you see nothing when they are on. I highly recommendโ
โSo comfortable!!! True to size, dont dig into my hips, and surprisingly not transparent in any way (when i held it up to the light i got scared lol)โ
โIm surprised how well this stayed in place. Im a size 12/14, 38C for reference. I was able to take a nap without falling out!โ
โPicked two suits, this was my second choice. Then they arrived and this became my favorite! I love this suit!!!โ
โSo comfortable! Exactly as pictured and true to size. Butter soft and very lightweight. Im a 34B and the medium fit perfectโ
Tan-Through fabric
Regular swim blocks the sun and leaves a white line. Our open weave lets it through to your skin.
Regular swim
Tan-through
Still UV โ wear SPF under the suit, like on bare skin.
Most swim fabric blocks UV. Ours is built around it. Microscopic air spaces in the weave let sunlight pass through to your skin, so you tan continuously โ even with the bikini on. The same air-space structure makes the fabric dry 2ร faster than regular swim and 7ร faster than padded styles.
Tanning is a process that depends on a lot of factors including the sunlight intensity (UV index), your altitude, genetics, and skin type. Therefore, it is very individual. Wearing BetterTan for as long as you can will ensure better results.
Areas of your skin that have never been exposed to sun may not tan the same way as skin that has been exposed before. Pigmentation may differ and sensitivity levels may be higher. We recommend using an extra layer of sunscreen on those areas to avoid burning. You may also notice slower tanning in these spots.
Yes โ we recommend wearing sunscreen to protect the skin from burning.
Of course. Our swimwear is long-lasting and fits perfectly onto any body shape, so you can use it as you would any regular bikini. The fabric has been tested in salt water and chlorine for durability.
Hand wash with lukewarm water. See the label attached for more detailed guidance.
Our straps are made very thin so they don't block the tan. Normally they don't interfere with tanning since they're made from the exact tan-through fabric as the rest of the bikini. We do recommend moving them around from time to time for the most even results.
Our bikinis are unlined (no padding) so nothing stands in the way of the sun's rays. The fabric is tested both dry and wet to ensure it isn't see-through. Some breast types may show more than others โ if you'd like to reduce any potential sheerness, we recommend sizing up. (Sizing up may slightly reduce how much sun passes through the micro-perforations.)
